Workshops, Excursions & Masterclasses
With the workshops, participants get to be in contact with the new technologies that will certainly have an impact in their future careers, regardless of the path they choose, since technological disruptions affect all sectors.
Each workshop hosts one speaker, who explains his/her field of expertise in 2 hours. While doing so, we make sure that the speaker always includes a hands-on part, so you won’t be going home without using your brain!
We hear you thinking: ‘What is a masterclass?’When we organize a masterclass, we first search a subject and companies with a lot of experience regarding that subject. The masterclass will be +- 3 lessons about this technology, so the participant is given several different views on this broader topic, so you yourself can become an expert in that field. Afterwards, you get rewarded with a certificate to prove you completed the full masterclass.
Last but not least, we’ll be organizing an excursions. This is an easy way for students to get into a tech company and experience their operations from the inside. An excursion is an engaging way of getting to know a company/technology, as you meet the employees and get a real feel of what it’s like to work in that specific company.
With these workshops, participants get to be in contact with the new technologies that will certainly have an impact in their future careers, regardless of the path they choose, since technological disruptions affect all sectors.
With these workshops and masterclasses, AFT wants to show three simple and powerful ideas:
First is that technology has a colossal impact on: our personal and academic lives, our business careers, and our societal infrastructure at large. And that this impact is only going to increase with time.
Secondly, that it affects everyone’s lives independently of their background, occupation or future goals, so everyone should be engaged in learning more about these new technologies.
And last but not least, we want to show that everyone can learn something valuable from these disruptive technologies and trends and use them to our advantage. We intend to show that we control the technology and not the other way around.
