The student startup trip brings together a group of high potential students in a world-class startup hub somewhere on the globe. Here they will be inspired to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams, soak up the vibe of the city, learn from the whole experience and bring it home with them.
They are dared to take the plunge and discover the whole ecosystem: startups, innovative companies, incubators, accelerators, investors, entrepreneurs, etc. We want to give them the opportunity to learn from both successes and mistakes and spot trends across different industries and continents.

Every year, we strive to keep the costs as low as possible. The price for the 2024 edition is set at €375, and this price includes everything from hotel to travel expenses!
The student startup trip is only available for students who are currently enrolled at a Belgian educational institution. This also includes PhD students.

On the website of AFT on the Student Startup Trip page is a link to the application form. This form consists of several questions to get to know you better and to assess your motivation. The registrations will close on Friday 20/12 at 23:59, so make sure you don’t miss this deadline. After this, we’ll select a group of students for the second application round.
The trip begins Wednesday morning (09/04) in Leuven. You only need to arrange transportation to our starting location in Leuven (Rail Station). After that, all transportation will be organized by AFT.
Throughout the trip, we’ll journey through the vibrant startup ecosystem of Berlin. This includes visiting promising startups, accelerators, and encounters with successful entrepreneurs, and more! Other than this, there’ll be plenty of time for fun activities.
The Student Startup Trip is open to all students enrolled in a Belgian educational institution, including PhD students. There is no entrepreneurial experience required.
The Student Startup Trip is designed to give you a firsthand experience of a dynamic startup ecosystem. This provides an excellent opportunity to connect with a diverse array of fascinating individuals and innovative businesses. If you’re eager to expand your network and dive into the world of startups, don’t hesitate to apply!
Every year, we strive to keep the costs as low as possible. The price for the 2025 edition is set at €375. This price includes the transportion from Leuven to Berlin, a hotel for (7) nights including breakfast, Goodies, transportation during the trip and transportation from Berlin to Leuven.
