Name: Student consultant
Company: KU Leuven KICK
Company Description:

The KU Leuven is one of Europe’s most renowned research universities, consistently ranked among the top 100 universities in the world. With a rich history dating back to 1425, KU Leuven is known for its exceptional research, teaching and innovation. Our commitment to encouraging and supporting entrepreneurship and innovation led to the creation of KU Leuven KICK.

About KU Leuven KICK: KU Leuven KICK is the one stop shop for KU Leuven students, researchers & professors. Through a creative and strongly bottom-up driven approach, we aim to encourage and facilitate entrepreneurship and spirit of enterprise in all these parties.

Job Description:

KU Leuven KICK & Living Tomorrow are offering the opportunity to students from all faculties to collaborate with innovation managers from many different companies towards a better future.

In this extracurricular activity you can be part of an interdisciplinary ‘consultancy’ group of students who will be mentored by KU Leuven KICK to participate in workgroups of Living Tomorrow.

This rare opportunity to voice your generation’s concerns and needs for the future on a platform that is not easily accessible to young professionals grants an excellent opportunity to network with (innovation) managers from many different respected companies.

What do we expect from you?

This is an extracurricular activity without a grading system. There will not be an examination. However, it is expected to be present during preparatory and debrief meetings at the KICK office and the workgroup meetings at the Living Tomorrow offices. Your sincere effort and dedication to the focus group is the core of the project and your contribution. You will have free access to all high-end events that Living Tomorrow organizes, and all students involved should be intrinsically motivated to attend as many as possible.

What’s in it for you?

You will be closely mentored by KU Leuven KICK, both as a team as one-on-one, resulting in significant professional growth. You can explain your needs and the team at KICK will help you develop your skills and knowledge accordingly. More importantly, you will have exclusive and direct access to managers from up to 80 different partnering companies, with whom you can develop a professional relationship and broaden your network even before graduating.

Let’s talk logistics:

Since meeting with the team and preparing your contribution to the workgroups is the core element, we will have weekly meetings at the KICK-HOUSE in Leuven (+- 2h). The exact time can be discussed within the team. Transportation to and from the Living Tomorrow offices can be provided, depending on the team size.
